I've read alot about concerns over the new offense. @ksu_FAN did an excellent job of breaking it down here:

Sometimes the best critic of offensive systems are defensive coaches...they have to stop them after all. This is nothing new but I've seen a ton of pieces on it...what is the most difficult offense to defend schematically? It's not what you might think...it is actually a multiple tight end formation typically called the "Ace" formation.

It's been mentioned how we will be in multiple tight end sets and people are acting like we're grabbing our knives on our way to a gunfight. Multiple tight end sets are the most difficult to defend in a lot of ways.

Here is an article, from a defensive coach's perspective, that tells us why multiple tight end sets (which Messingham loves) are difficult to defend.

Yes there are headwinds personnel wise but you can largely thank Bill for that. If this staff can manage this roster back to where it needs to be there is no doubt in my mind this offense, and staff, can be successful here.
