My wife and I were working the K-State booth at the state fair and I looked up and saw this tall guy with a good looking blonde on his arm. It was Joe. He said I was the first person to recognize him in the 30 minutes he had been on the fair grounds. I said, "you don't look like you are beat up too bad" and his reply was, "I may not look like it but I am really sore". I also told him the UTSA QB said they could have beaten us but they made too many mistakes. Joe said, "did he see the score and we made too many mistakes". I was careful not to ask him anything Coach would not like. He is every bit 6'5" or more. Gosh he was tall and muscular and very nice. The blonde on his arm was very cute.

The lead person in charge of the booth at the fair said Pat Bosco told her last year's K-State freshman had the highest grade point average entering school of any of the state colleges. She also said K-State had the highest retention rate of all state colleges in Kansas going into their sophomore year. The retention rate at K-State was 94% this fall from the freshman class last year.
