Monday’s game is huge for multiple reasons

1. Rivalry game. KU has beat KState the last three times by 2, 3 & 1. Wildcats desperately want to come up with a W.

2. First place is on the line. If KState wins the Cats are tied for 1st at the halfway point.

3. Lose Monday and probably lose Saturday and the Cats are looking down at .500 in league play. After Monday 3 out of the next 4 are on the road: at WVU, at Texas, vs Tech and at OSU. Every game is tough but KSU could easily be 5-8 after the next 5 games. A win and KState is looking at their schedule trying to figure out how to win the league.

4. KState really doesn’t have a marquee win. Sure, OU was nice but they’re slipping and anytime you can beat KU it’s definitely a win to hang your hat on.

Monday is HUGE. A win and the rest of the season doesn’t look so daunting but a loss could send KState spiraling down. There’s really not enough words to describe how big the game is.
