In a surprise to no one paying attention, 2015 was the hottest year on record by a significant margin. I'm sure this will be spun as either being a lie, being solely the result of El Nino, or just further proof the pause is real (since facts didn't matter before, why now), but the implications from this are pretty significant. It's also looking like 2016 will have a significant el nino meaning we're in for another rough year.
