My 2 cents a couple of games into the season...

We've had a lot more guys sitting in the first two games than I would like, for what I'll presume is a variety of reasons. For the injury situations, it is hopefully precautionary due to the level of opposition. But I still don't like it.

QB - Ertz has looked very good like I'd expected, but the depth here worries me. Yes, Thompson shows considerable promise for the future, but I don't like Delton being on the shelf at all.

RB - Comfortable with Barnes and depth. Ready for Silmon to be back, but honestly not sweating it that much, like our 3rd, 4th and 5th string. An obvious position of strength.

FB - Dimel is very good, but depth concerns me a bit here. Lenners is there not because he is a FB, but because we don't have depth, so we have to convert a TE to have a back-up.

TE - I'm comfortable here with the starter and the back-up.

WR - Clearly a position of strength, as loaded with depth as I can remember in the Snyder era. Nonetheless, I don't like us having guys sit out games regardless of reason.

OL - I think this is a position of strength, and I'm actually pleasantly surprised with the depth. Kaltemayer looks like he will be very good a year from now. Was fairly impressed with Fitzner, Couch and Ruth when I fixated on them for a few snaps. Matthews is not far behind.

DE - Walker has started slow, but I expect he'll be fine. I like Ball. Wood is Wood, nothing special but adequate. Massie might help out in rush situations. Clark can fill in for Wood but is mediocre.

DT - Looks like it's going to be Geary, Dishon, Price, Wiley and Davies. Geary is really the only thing approximating a star in the group. Dishon is a solid Big 12 player. Was hoping Price would be a little better. Wiley and Davies look the part; in fact, I thought Davies even emerged a bit today, slowly but surely he might be becoming a contributor.

LB - It's Tanking, Kirby, Sullivan and Hughes here. I don't think Sizelove is really a factor, though he could play in a pinch if injuries required it. Will be interesting to see how things play out here. Gotta think the back-ups are making Seiler think.

S - I like this position both in terms of starters and depth. Will be interesting to see if Walker beats out Goolsby at some point.

CB - Really like Reed, Shelley and Parker. I was not surprised about Parker today, I knew the coaches thought he was a major steal when they flipped him from Air Force in the 2016 class. I am not sold on Neil, so depth is a concern here. I think Cre would move over to CB before we started Neil. Would like to have 4 or 5 corners, but only feel like we have three, maybe 4 if you include Moore.

Special Teams - comfortable across the board with all positions
