I started watching and cheering for KSU hoops in the mid 70's when I was a kid. I was in school in 88 and suffered greatly when Kruger left. I have been to many games over the years sometimes at a great cost economically and emotionally. I have continued to hold out hope we would get back to the Hartman days of competing for a conference championship just about every year. During the nocon last season I decided I couldnt take it any more and set my expectations low. I didnt go out of my way to watch games, if I was busy I did not record games, I still followed and cheered but lowered my expectations, even to the point of basically thinking we were going to lose most games. I was able to enjoy the wins we did get but not get suckered into thinking we had turned the corner. This is where our administration has taken KSU hoops and this is where we will remain. Weber is a good guy but he is only so good of a coach. We will have an occasional tourney run and I will enjoy it when we do. Sadly, this is where the program is. We are not rock bottom like KU football, but we are middle of the pack at best. This is a choice our administration made years ago and what we have to live with. Enjoy the wins when we have them and dont waste your time analyzing how long Weber should stay. Support him and whoever comes in next when you can. We are what we are, a program that for now has a better past then future. Peace out fellow Catbackers.
