Bill Snyder and K-State teammates talk about Jesse Ertz, who on Saturday could become the only first-time sophomore starting quarterback to throw a touchdown in a season opener since at least 1993.
"We have a crazy fan base that's going to get behind all of our players, but if Jesse can come out and really establish himself in this game, he can really create a following and get a good fan base behind him," Deante Burton said. "With that will come increased confidence. Especially if you're going to play the quarterback position at this university, confidence is huge.
"If Jesse can go out there and dominate the way we know he can, and the way everybody in our locker room has seen, he'll be just fine."
