Offense - Tale of two halves again
- 1st half effective doing all kinds of things.
- The offensive line looked completely different. Now that Stiverson is back coaches are rotating Luke Hayes and Terale Johnson at right guard. We move the ball with more consistency when Johnson is in.
- Charles Jones had a great first half. He made one cut and was gone.
- Joe has some kind of connection with Kyle Klein but really struggles finding other receivers in stride.
- 2nd half -
- We out thought ourselves with play calling again in the third quarter. The only thing I can think of is Dimel thinks we will catch teams by surprise when we come out passing? Problem is the execution doesn't happen. Hubener's not accurate enough, our tight ends don't catch the ball, and wide receivers either stop routes or don't run them far enough.
- Old Charles Jones comes back and dances and gets brought down easily...don't go back to Silmon soon enough (anyone know if Silmon got dinged up or the coaches just ran with Jones?)
- And for the love of peat can we put a te over to help the right side of the line to block anything please. Offensive line looked terrible again but Hayes played more the 2nd half. Watch the drives we moved the ball Johnson is in at right guard.
- Tried the pop pass multiple times last night but it just wasn't there.
- If we score coming out of half and not throw that pick 6 completely different ball game.
- Sadly play calling and a lack of execution doomed this unit again. TCU didn't stop us on offense, we stopped ourselves again.
