K-State currently sits 58th and 8th in the big12. but we are still in the position where total numbers matter too much so....
Rivals ranking
1. ou
2. ut
3. wvu
4. baylor
5. ku
6. isu
7. osu
8. K-State
9. ttu
10. tcu
my rankings
1. ou - the only 2 5-stars the big12 has
2. ut - weirdly, it's an embarrassing class for texas
3. wvu - 4 4-stars. from 4 different states... it's a salty class
don't there's any discussion on those 3 being top 3 and in that order.. also, there are 3 clearly bottom teams as well
8. ku - it's just a bad class. but at least they have 1 5.7 (who should be rated even higher and will be somebody we are very mad we didn't get)
9. isu - this is the type of class that gets Campbell to take the next phone call.. it's a brutal class for somebody who wants to ascend (it's also a problem that they've beaten ck2 a few times)... 1 5.7 in 20 players, and it's littered with dudes like Purchase who basically had to latch on at the end. i said a while ago it would be one of the worst classes for an established coach i've ever seen.. and that would continue to be true EXCEPT for, somehow...
10. tcu - has 7 commitments... they have 2 5.7s, which is nice, but my word, they rank 97th at the moment. i "think' they eventually pass isu and ku, but talk about being asleep at the wheel
the middle is where it gets interesting and where i think you can argue what class you want
4. baylor - 6 5.7s on rivals. their qb is a 4 star on TOS
5 - K-State had Kstate and osu tied at first, but having rubley as your best recruit at the most important position will be the tiebreaker - 1 5.8, 1 5.7
6 . osu - 4 5.7s
7 - ttu - 2 5.8s, but only 11 total recruits and 0 5.7s.. needs more, but is in a nice position if they can close solidly
one overriding theme for the big12? they are not getting enough talent over.. this is pretty bad
