The biggest reason that I am ready for Snyder to move on & get a new coaching staff in here, is for the simple reason of the importance of “seniority” when it comes to Snyder. You can sight example after example of colleges playing true or even redshirt freshman all over the field & getting seeing instant success. Hell, just look at South Carolina for example:
Jake Bentley graduated high school early to enroll at USC. USC had a couple of other qb’s that had more experience & were the kind of qb’s that they wanted to play. Well quite honestly, USC was not good with those two qb’s. So they sat those two, started a True Freshman at qb & made it to a bowl game. That same true sophomore qb just went to Knoxville & beat UT.
Texas beats KSU with a true freshman, Southern Cal wins the Rose Bowl with a true freshman, etc, etc.
Seniority should count for something, but not when you’re in a performance field. When the senior is not better than the sophomore, he should not start just because he has a better “handle” of the playbook.
Snyder Part II is 180 degrees away from where he was in the 90’s & up until 2003. He cares more about mentoring “fine young men” vs winning ball games.
