I am looking for possible ways to convince Mrs. Jamz that allowing me to buy a 3rd car will actually be a good idea. Anyone done this in the past? How did it work out for you? I am really looking into a 2000 or so MR2 Spyder. It is small, mid-engined, and you can get one for the price of a tax return. I think this will assuage my need for a sporty car and make me save money long-term, so spending money will actually save money-suck it Dave Ramsey.
Options:
Bring it back from work trip and say that technically is counts as a souvenir as technically I do bring back souvenirs from work trips and spending limits have never been established (loophole).
Don't tell her and then just put it in the garage.
Tell her it was her idea to get a 3rd car and establish that she told me it on a day when she ingested alcohol in excess of her own free will.
