There sure are a loud bunch of negative posters these days... the sky is falling.
I sure hope potential recruits don't read this board... all they would see is doom & gloom and bunch of crying.
Football recruiting:
The number of recurits is a concern, but it's not like K-State has landed a bunch of 4 star recruits in the past.
K-State has always been a mixture of 3 & 2 star kids (& walk-ons).
2 star kids don't help your team rankings, but the biggest reason for the K-State's low ranking is because K-State only has 12 listed commits (the rankings are based on a points system...the more recruits you have, the more points... even 2 star kids give you points).
And what about 4 star kids ?
In the 2015 class, K-State had two 4-star recruits: Duke Shelley & Jonathan Banks.
Shelley appears to be a hit and I expect Banks to become a good D-back.
2014 Class: two 4-star recruits... Clinkscales & Derricot = no longer with the team.
2013 Class: two 4-star recruits... Nick Ramirez (never played) and Tanner Wood
2012 Class; one 4-star Marquez Clark... did he ever play or make it to K-State ?
2011 Class: zero four star kids.
K-State has 3 grayshirts that I'm aware of from last year.
K-State basically has 15 commits and will likely add 4 to 5 more in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
Yes, it sucked that Shack had to decommit and leave for Texas, but it is what it is.
As for basketball:
Can some of you at least try to support the team until the season is over.
Or at least support the team until it's late February.
Everyone is disappointed when the team loses, but the negative posts that follow a loss are over the top.
I really believe some fans would be disappointed if K-State won, because they couldn't jump on here and post their fire Weber threads...LOL
K-State has loss two heart breakers and let another game get away at Texas.
Six of K-State's seven losses have come against ranked teams.
The other game was a 3 point loss on the road to Texas. The same Texas team that beat down Huggins and West Virginia in Morgan Town.
As I have posted before, I don't know if Weber is the answer, but for now I'm just going to support the program and at the end of the season, I will decide if Weber still has my support going forward.
And for some reason, some negative posters won't even recognize the fact that K-State relies heavily on 3 freshman. Yes, you can argue that Weber needs to recruit better, but the fiasco that was Marcus Foster could not be anticipated, which resulted in a complete roster turnover.
Big 12 Stats only.
#1 Scorer = Barry Brown = Freshman
#2 Scorer = Wesley Iwundu = Junior (Wes had a bad game in Waco)
#3 Scorer = Kamau Stokes = Freshman
#4 Scorer = Justin Edwards = Senior
#5 Scorer = Dean Wade = Freshman
GO STATE !!
