New AC/Furnace advice??

Sorry - I know this is a sports forum but my furnace just recently went out & I've decided to replace my outside AC unit as well. I know it's more about the install than the brand I choose...*I respect everybody opinion on here, has anyone recently purchased or have any experience in buying a new furnace & AC?? Everybody here in Wichita pushes Trane which I know is a good brand but higher priced than most...how about Goodman/Amana?? I've heard the compressor & internal parts on most brands are the same & a good warranty is important. Thanks in advance for everyone's insight!! Very much appreciated! WK
