to be a very good year for K-State hoops
  1. 3 sophomores back as the LEADERS on this team. All 3 are not just solid players but great young men. They should be solid leaders and they've grown up together
  2. We will finally have a rim protector which we haven't had since JO left. DJ is more like Landon Lucas than Jordan Bell. Maurice has potential. He showed some signs at the Big 12 tournament against a very good W Virginia team that loves to drive the ball. James Love has POTENTIAL to do the same in a backup role
  3. We will actually have a true backup or alternative at PG with Diarra. It would not hurt my feelings to see us go after a 3rd option this spring.
We must fix our defense though beyond rim protection. Again I don't remember our 3 point defense being this bad when JO was in the middle so maybe the rim protector is part of the answer.
We must also go get a stud scorer like a Mark Smith or someone like him or bigger.
This recruiting season is critical and it's happening right now which is why I'd like to see a bit more positivity on the board and less put down of our leadership.
