Next year's position upgrades

How many here have went through a year like this one, not many. Yes we are struggling with the upper half of the league, but how many of those teams that we have played would do any better with their last string QB. Joe is doing what he can but just better at being a back up at the BIG 12 level. I hope we put Delton in for the last of the season and see what we have with him. With lesser competition and his addition I think we will finish the season being left wondering, what position upgrades do we need to be damn good next year.

Lets say we get a starting juco #1 receiver, a capable starting juco tackle (either side), and a good juco corner. Those three things would make a world of difference, the rest of the parts are there to make a big jump. If Delton is what we hope he is, we will look much better. Even if the coaches call the wrong play or boring game plans, the athlete on the field can make things happen. Some of our biggest plays back in the day were when our QB would break the pocket and kill the other D. We are close to that again, have some faith. Just remember Solich at Nebraska, he had Lord at QB which was not very good, the rest of the team was. NUBBS fired him before he had a chance to find the next QB, what if he had, he would still be there. We need the right guy at QB and a few pieces to go with him like we used to add and we will be in it, even with boring play calls.
