I had an idea for how K-State could coordinate some NIL $ to one or two players per year.

In the past we have an occasion done the stripe the stadium where they put purple and white t-shirts on each seat to make for a cool visual on TV.

Each year you do this for one game. Pick 1 player for each color t-shirt and have their trademark brand/image on one side of the t-shirt. Get a business to sponsor the event and put their logo also on the shirt (e.g. WIngstop) and market the game as the Wingstop stripe out. The sponsor pays for the shirts out of their marketing/advertising budget and the player gets a NIL kickback for each shirt. Get an alum in the t-shirt business to help offset the cost of producing the shirts. If you honored one player per color and each player got $2 per shirt your talking about $50k per player for the promotion. You then sell the t-shirt online so that other alums who could not attend the game can share in the promotion and pass more NIL on the players.

Thoughts ?

Could do the same thing for basketball with a blackout or whiteout promotion and only select 1 player per game to be honored. I bet if the did this with a fear the beard back in the Jpullz days they would have sold thousands outside of those given away at the game.
