been purposefully absent lately. I'm a big believer in "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say (post) anything at all." I also cleared my ignore list (might put spradcat back on).

Let's just run through stuff:

The swamp that was our athletic department is being drained.

I'm confident in Weiberg or Veatch.

It will likely be painful for another year if weber is retained, but I feel so much better about the future, for obvious reasons.

I fully expect JL to be our next football coach.

Underwood got hosed by osu. They deserve a shit run in bball.

Not sure if I ever mentioned this, but when Weber's final season at Illinois started to fall off a cliff, his new ad had already told the team he was fired, which was still during the regular season. Same ad that came in and fired the women's coach and the football coach the same year. I was not a fan of the weber hire here, but it goes to show you how a meddling ad can really mess things up.

Someone not related to the b12 told me that the conference powers that be actually had the foresight to not expand yet as they could see the cable bubble bursting (not to mention no slam dunk schools to add) and also knowing that the cfb playoff will eventually get to 8 teams with a champ from each p5 conference as an auto-qualifier. I love that very much. God knows our odds of ever making it as an at-large or a two loss champ are on par with mangino losing a pie-eating contest.

Currie did some great things here, but this power trip thing was disgusting.

Sooooo happy for Frank Martin tonight.

Frank would've been gone by now no matter who the ad was. Huggins, otoh, told me wv was the only job he would've left for (thanks, belein). His words the last time I spoke to him about ksu: "I love those goddamn people."

Currie did some wonderful things for me and family when my daughter was diagnosed and eventually passed away. He did have heart, apparently just let the ego run his work.

I was told the fball staff is feeling 2011/2012ish about this team.

I want the new ad and GenPres Myers to interview Buzz. With his utmost respect for the military, can't see him saying "no" to the former chairman of the jcos. Would be a great fit in Manhattan.

This will annoy you: I can't even encrypt a post about a football commit because I forgot the kid's name that I was told. And don't ask what it was. When I know, I'll throw it out there.

Let's stop lamenting about shit and feeling sorry for ourselves. Be the people that Huggins and Snyder came here for. Stop whining and bitching. We are going to be in goods hands and this is the time when we can start feeling good about our department again.
