One additional reason that LSU may have been attractive to Brian Kelly is test score qualifications. The Covid period has provided many challenges to teachers and students to master concepts in science & ESPECIALLY MATH! The students that are Juniors and Seniors this year could really face challenges in reaching qualifying scores. As a counselor it’s mind boggling to see ACT scores from several 4.0-3.5 students. I have no idea if Notre Dame accepts super scoring on the test but the test results according to math and science teachers could be brutal and even though the qualifications for athletes at Notre Dame are reduced it could be a real challenge to get acceptance for the difference makers. I’m absolutely not stereotyping based on athletes or race. Their are legitimate holes in core math & science skill sets- LET ALONE TEST ANXIETY!
