1.) Nice arena, tons of Creighton fans at the game and selling their tickets on Craigslist. Very cool fan base and very nice people.
2.) Craigslist tickets were 30-60% less than Stubhub, Tickets for Less, and Scalpers... and you got much better seats.
3.) Most Creighton basketball fans that I talked to were Husker or Hawkeye football fans too. To a man, they all said that Creighton basketball is huge in Omaha because the arena is not on campus so they can sell beer. It is like a professional sporting event. They had to add the upper deck on the one end to meet the demand. Now capacity is at 19,500. Amazing. The house that Dana A. built...
4.) On Sunday (it was hard to tell because of the Red Badger fans and the Blue Creighton fans) but I would estimate 35% WSU fans, 25% KU fans, 10% Badger fans, 25% Creighton season ticket holders, and 5% other.
I did see a total of six K-State fans rocking the PowerCat.
5.) I probably encountered 500 KU fans and only 1 jackass. I sat next to him. With about 12 minutes to go into the game and surrounded by WSU & Creighton fans, he states, "There is no way we should be down by 10-points to this team."
Like KU should have been spotted 5-points for each McDonald's All-Americans, 10-points for being KU, 8-points for having Bill Self as a coach, and 2-points for each conference title. Ridiculous!
No other KU fan said anything before or after and the WSU fans were all well behaved (except for maybe Coach Marshall's wife).
6.) I don't think WSU would have won the Big XII this year, the second time through the league they would have struggled (they would have had a better chance last year). I would say that a hard-nosed team like that would make the league better though. Everyone would have to get tougher to play with them. They punched KU in the mouth and KU had no idea what to do. Their defense made KU look pretty pedestrian.
7.) I have been to a total of four NCAA opening rounds. KU hasn't made it out of a single one of them.

2014 (St. Louis) #2 seed, lost to #10 Stanford
