1) Still hearing great things about Will Howard. Also heard he's quicker after his regiment in the offseason.
2) Deuce Vaughn has had a fantastic summer. No surprise. Even had some moments that left some in awe, which is hard to do because of what the standard for him has become.
3) In recent conversations, player drawing the most rave reviews is actually Timmy Horne. Going to be a very instrumental and impactful player for them according to folks that would know.
4) Hearing some rumblings that the possible starting defensive line headed into fall camp just might be Horne with Eli Huggins and Felix Anudike, and Duke as that stand-up edge player. Could change of course. Got about like 4 weeks of practice before first game and I imagine first practice is in a little over a week.
5) Two linebacker spots probably are Daniel Green and Cody Fletcher. Think Eric Munoz and Nick Allen is probably the second group. But don't rule out Austin Moore.
6) Julius Brents is obviously expected to be a monster. We've heard things about Aamaris Brown at nickel, and maybe Reggie Stubblefield. Starting to hear that Russ Yeast has played around at nickel a little, too. Still probably trying to find the right combinations in the back end, still.
7) Heard from a few folks that said either some players that have been in the program for a while just coincidentally all had their best offseason together (by the way they are looking) or that Coach Tru Carroll just had that impact with his strength and conditioning program. Pretty good thing to hear.
8) Chabastin Taylor still not available, yet.
