I'm right here
This will end up with another college division--the super powers. That leaves all but the top 20 teams to make a division, formerly D-1 and hav e it make sense. The process of grabbing odd lot schools and cobbling them together will just make things more drawn out and worse.

Here's the solution:

Super powers form 2 ten team conferences. Round robin play and playoff.

The rest: gO BACK TO REGIONAL/RIVALRY GROUPS OF 10. More interest, less travel costs, more parity. These 3 things will make the (new) D1 . No more WVUs stuck in a Midwest conference. No time zone and travel nonsense. Imagine UCLA going to New Jersey to play a December game--that is not viable long term. Also, the Supers will no longer have to share $$$ with conference weak sisters. Vanderbilt and Mizzery receiving the same money as Alabama is absurd.

How to sort it out? Supers form a corporation and sell stock. Price to eliminate all but the biggest programs.

The (new) D1s do the same thing, albeit a lower buyin. No need to affiliate more than that--it just complicates thangs. Hopefully we are back to something that looks like KSU, KU ISU, OSU, MU< Neb, ARK,Colo,, Iowa. Something like that.

A regional, 10 team conference, in a galaxy of 10 team conferences. Better than anything on the horizon now.
