I am happy to have the latest OL commitment. However I have reservations about our O Line recruiting. First, I have the perception that best OL players have not come from Texas. Secondly, the Oline usually is about size and we seem to recruit many lineman that are 6'5" or shorter. For a test to my thoughts I went to the Wisconsin roster since they have a good reputation for the OLine. 1/2 of their lineman are 6'6" or taller. Ohio State has 1/3 of their OLine 6'6" or taller. We are not even close to those ratios. There have been complaints about our OLine not being dominant over the past couple of years and I think the recruited talent is a part of the issue. I would rather recruit an OLineman from Wisconsin, which seems to have an abundance of big lineman, than recruit out of Texas for them.
