The Georgia DB is taking his OV this weekend and imo, he is Kansas State's to lose. Yes, Manhattan is farther from home than Memphis, but based on what I am hearing, Smith considers K-State football much bigger than Memphis.

I would say based on my sources here, that there is a greater than 50% chance AS OF TODAY that Smith ends up flipping, but the visit is crucial.

Smith talked with me a little about this upcoming weekend's trip.

"I’m going out there with an open mindset," said Smith. "I will be paying attention to everything; weather, city, how people are in the city, the culture, and even the foods. I will be taking a careful evaluation since it might be my only time going up there.

"I have been talking a lot to coach Klanderman, the DB coach. He’s basically been telling me that I’m a perfect fit for their nickel position with my cover skills and my ability to tackle as well.

"They’re in need of DBs and how the Big 12 is a passing league really has me interested in them. They have five DBs on the field at all times, so I like that too. I also have a chance to play early in a big time conference. From what I’ve heard Manhattan is a great city but I’m ready to go see for myself.

"For me to change my mind, I have to see that Kansas State is 100% a better opportunity for me."
