To those of you who enjoy exercising and/or running but have bad knees: What cardio exercises do you do that aren't hard on your knees but are still effective?
For years, running was my go-to cardio exercise. It was fun, cheap and could be done anywhere at anytime. However, I've suffered a number of injuries as of late and they are happening more and more frequently. I hate to give up on running, but I'm still fairly young and really want to avoid bigger knee problems down the line. Both my dad and future father-in-law have really bad knees that prevent them from doing thinks like hiking, using stairs or even walking on unstable surfaces like sandy beaches, so I've seen what can happen if you don't take care of your knees.
