In the NFL, elite QBs can win games, but average or good QBs can only go as far as the rest of the team takes them.

Smith is set to be a $17 million salary cap hit next year, leaving the Chiefs with cap issues.

$17 million buys a LOT of talent that isn't a QB, LT, or a premier WR/RB/TE.

Cardinals need a QB following Palmer's retirement.

Cardinals have lots of cap space.

I think a 1st round pick or a couple of 2nd to 4th picks would be a fair trade.
