OT:I'm heading to Green Bay, WI for the Dallas Game this sunday

Leaving from Salina for Des Moines Friday night. Which highways are the best to Des Moines. Should I head up I35 to york and then over to Des Moines Or should I head to KC and then up i-35 to des moines. I just wanted to stay away from Missouri as their roads are terrible. Has anyone been on I-80 from york to Des Moines. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
