So, we are flying into San Fran next late Spring for wife's 40th bday. We then want to travel up the coast and fly out of Seattle on day 9. Probably spend a day and a half in San Fran, hit Nappa for a day or 2. Then head to the redwood forest. From there, who knows, but headed up to Seattle or maybe just as far as Portland to fly out. Plan on taking the coast highway the whole way. Has anyone did this trip before? I know there are probably a million little gems between nappa and Seattle and I would love to know about them. Is there anywhere to stay on the ocean close to the redwood forest, towns, cabins, etc. Would love a couple nights in a oceanfront house with a beach. I need some direction from someone who has been there before. Any help appreciated....
