A German group has put together a volunteer group of listening stations which send data to a central computer that 'magically' computes the location of lightning in a vast area. Results are often interesting and perhaps useful.

The lines are paths to the storms from the stations picking up the static. Of course, the red, yellow, etc are the storms. Better than watching goldfish in a tank!
