I don't believe there is any grand conspiracy, but many of these players seem to have graded out better on the other sites. I think this is mostly a function of the minimal evaluation put into two and three star prospects and the difficulty of distinguishing one from the other. There are some other interesting differences between sites:

Chabastin Taylor: Among our top prospects by Rivals (5.7 - #82 HS WR), but 24/7 has him as a two star (78 grade, #335 HS WR).

Xavier Davis: Among our top prospects by ESPN (78 grade) but only a 2-star by Scout.

Bernard Goodwater: 3 star by Rivals, ESPN, Scout, but only a 2-star on 24/7.

All together it looks to me like we have a solid group of players. We lack a 4-star or two, but the 4-stars we typically get seem to have flaws that make there ability to contribute a little dicey.
