No doubt some of the more informed on here understand the numbers that factor in for OU-Texas leaving.
Say they pay the $80 million exit fee and have to give up their t.v. revenue for home games through the 2024-25 GOR; the payback of the investment is what, north of 6 years? Saying that, not knowing what SEC schools receive in t.v. money now. I figured $53 million SEC payout compared to Big 12 $40 million. That does not factor the home game revenue.
I am not making a case it is not a sound financial decision just curious the payback time on investment and it does not account for increased revenue for a revamped SEC.
