I've done body work in the past, but never any painting other than rattle cans, etc...
I got a wrecked motorcycle a few weeks ago, and the last body piece should be arriving tomorrow. I want to repaint the bike a single color, but don't know what I'll need paint wise as there are different materials that will need painted. I have a low pressure sprayer btw, and will be painting it myself as practice for the paint job on the truck I've been rebuilding as well.
The cowls and fenders are plastic, but the gas tank isn't. Do I need to use a different kind of paint or primer?
Will a simple enamel with a clear coat over it suffice after the prep work is done?
Any painting tips in regards to vehicles would be appreciated.
TIA
