There is no other way to put it than our play calling cost us the game. Hubener played his heart out and had absolutely nothing to do with us losing that game. It is entirely on the OC Play Calling.
For those of you that say that the coaches saw something we didn't which is why we called the plays the way we did, you couldn't be more wrong. We had the perfect game plan and executed it beautifully the first half, then we completely scrapped it and threw the game away.
No matter what TCU may or may not have done at half to change their defensive scheme, you do not throw the ball as much as we did the second half. We would have been better of kneeling down for the 3 - 3 and outs we had in the second half instead of stopping the clock because we threw it every down and took no more than a minute off the clock with Time of Possession.
And IF TCU changed their defensive scheme in that our coaches saw something that made them abandon the run, HOW IS IT THAT THE ONLY TD WE SCORED IN THE SECOND HALF WAS A 10 PLAY DRIVE WHERE WE DID NOT PASS IT ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE RAN 10 STRAIGHT RUNNING PLAYS, TOOK 7 MINUTES OFF THE CLOCK, AND SCORED A TD.
Dimel and Miller must be as hard headed as @97cat is in comprehending something so simple.
