With the commitment of Shaun Williams last week, speculation has begun on who will or will not be there in order to open a scholarship up. Speculation increased because, right now, Amaad Wainright and Mawdo Sallah are not on campus yet.
A source tells me that Mawdo will arrive soon and begin international student orientation, so he will be on campus this fall.
I also just spoke to Amaad Wainright, who tells me he will arrive to campus on August 19, two days before classes begin.
So those two will be on campus this fall. Does that mean that they are not the players who may leave and open a scholarship? No, because they could very easily leave as quickly as they arrive. But this does confirm that everyone will arrive to campus at some point.
It will definitely be a departure, rather than a, "never showed up," when it comes to opening Williams' scholarship.
