I don't know why, but I found this pretty humorous. As part of a debate, each NYC mayoral candidate for the Democratic primary was asked what the median home price was currently in Brooklyn. Two of them guessed $100K! In fairness, one of them is just a rich banker who probably has no idea how the other 99% live, but the other was a HUD Secretary under Obama. Imagine that a potential leader of NY thinking the average home cost in his area was similar to that of Topeka, KS.
Interestingly, the frontrunner for the race (Andrew Yang) nailed it. I'm not a huge fan of his political viewpoints, but I will give Andrew Yang this. He actually understands what real Americans experience on a daily basis, instead of these idiots who are living in some kind of bubble. He seems to be rare these days.
