Sometimes it seems like arguments are a frequent occurrence on here. It seems like the winner is whomever got the most style points for presenting the best argument. Seems to me that the winner should be the one that proves true going forward.
I always respected Hatter a great deal because it seemed that he predicted things that nobody else had suggested. I don't have a lot of respect for the arguments on here. Some of the arguments it seems like a strike against you if you participated in the argument. I'm not pointing my finger at others. I've certainly done that a few times.
So I thought it would be interesting to keep a list of the things that seem to be a consensus on this board. A consensus is that it seems that most people support whatever the position is. So it would be interesting to track some of these arguments to see how they play out in reality. Some of the things that seem to be a consensus are:
1. K-State's offense this year would heavily rely on the run now that we had a dual threat QB. It would be a ball control, time of possession offense. Passing would not be a big part of the offense.
2. K-State's receivers are not sufficiently athletic to have any degree of success in the B12.
3. Silmon is an above average running back, especially given tat he is a freshman. He will be the answer to the running back problem. Of course, we still have a problem with the OL.
4. The OL sucks. Charlie Dickey should be fired.
6. Defense will carry this team. The defense will be very good this year.
7. Play-calling is pathetic and inexcusable.
8. K-State's coaching staff is either no better or not as good as O-State's coaching staff.
9. Joe Hubener is not the answer at QB. Ceiling is very low for this team with Joe at QB.
Some of the things above are things that I believe are still not clear or are things that I don't agree with at all. But my opinion is certainly pretty amateur. Perhaps, this will help me to develop more respect for some of the things said on this board and for the people making those comments. Like I said, I've always respected Hatter and his comments although there are a number on here that don't like him and certainly he has made some comments that I absolutely did not agree with.
I would appreciate any suggestions of things that I have overlooked that seems to be a consensus of the board.
