I’m still confused by the outrage over this past basketball season.
I just don’t remember too many fans picking K-State to win more than 6 or 7 games in the Big 12 before the season started.
Given the fact that the Big 12 was loaded –and- K-State had 9 new players (complements of Marcus Foster’s inability to keep his nose clean “no pun intended” , plus his negative influence over the departed freshmen).
In reality, had K-State just won 1 or 2 more games, the CATS would have finished about where most projected them to be. The CATS loss 3 games in overtime (including two double OT games), plus 2 close losses to Texas.
K-State only loss 1 game to a team that was not in the NCAA tourney.
Perhaps K-State’s solid performance in the non-con raised expectations from low to high ??
That said, it’s comical, the manner that a number of posters have been acting in recent weeks, you would have thought that K-State was the preseason favorite to win the Big 12 last October.
Next year, most (including myself), will have much higher expectations, rightfully so.
But this past season, my expectations were on the low side.
If you expected K-State to win 8 or 9 or 10 or more Big 12 games this past season, please explain your rationale.
GO STATE !
