K-State got off to a bad start and turned the ball over early, whereas Baylor could not miss a shot to begin the game. But in the end, it was all about making shots.

You can argue that K-State could have played better defense (which they could have), but K-State also has open shots from the 3 point line, but could not knock them down.

The Bears shot nearly 50% from the floor (49%) and K-State shot 39%.

Worst yet, Baylor shot a remarkable 54% from the 3 point line (yes, they did have some open shots) and K-State shot 14% from the 3 point line (and yes, K-State had some open shots).
Baylor's season average was around 35% from the 3 point line.

AND Baylor scored 29 points at the charity stripe. 29 of 30 is ridiculous good. The Bears shot approximately 70% from the floor as a team this seaon, not 97%.

Had Baylor shot their season average from the charity stripe -OR- from the 3 point line, the game would have been nip & tuck at the end
(hard to play defense on free throws).

Final Analysis: Baylor shot the ball very well tonight, K-State did not.

I suppose if the CATS can win their next two road games and upset Kansas, we can start dreaming of 8 or 9 conference wins again, but right now it appears to be a stretch.
