After reading the speculation on this board, and finally growing tired of it, can we put this rumor to rest? I am sick of it and it in no way paints a picture of what kind of kid he is and what is actually going on with him.
First and foremost, Alex did not play on the road at OU because the coaching staff chose to play a senior who has a lot of experience and who was more prepared for the situation. Alex understood that, and decided to put his head down and continue to work on himself and try to become the best player he can be. He has a lot of trust in this coaching staff, and some of you need to have a little faith as well.
He isn't transferring, he doesn't have mono....he is a redshirt freshmen QB who is continuing to gain experience at the D1 level. He is also a high character kid, who won't run from a challenge. The word transfer has not popped up other than people on this board who react quickly to things and decide to speculate and begin rumors. It is amazing to read some of the crap on this board sometimes. If Joe trots out and takes snaps, he earned them...the same way Jesse or Alex will have to earn their snaps and have earned them in the past.
