We were gashed on this twice today, once for a touchdown where their guy had no one within 15 yards of him, down the seam. ISU hit us for a big play on it last week too.
Our safeties look lost on this, a lot. Depending on the specific type of quarters coverage, the safety reads off the Tackle/TE for run/pass or specifically keys on the Y, or even Z, receiver. Our opponents are exploiting this weakness big time. Can't make it that easy on them, truly baffling.
