I spoke to Riko last night and will put together his visit story to run this evening, but wanted to pass along some quick tidbits to hold everyone over in the meantime.
First off, and most importantly, he did not commit on the visit. Most recruits don't but it's always the number one question so I figured I'd get that out of the way.
I wouldn't look for him to commit anytime soon either because he still wants to take a few more officials, none of which are set up yet.
Otherwise, he and his parents liked what they saw in Manhattan despite the weather. He was able to speak with Bill Snyder all three days he was in town and the staff on hand who coordinated the visit, coaches and recruiting staff alike, certainly made a big impression on his parents.
Lastly, something that may not make the story, Jeffers watched what is known as the Cat Bowl on Friday. As I understand, this is pretty much a scrimmage where redshirts and walk-ons can compete (not sure if it's a regular deal or a one-time thing). I asked Jeffers if anyone in particular caught his eye and while he wasn't able to remember many specific names he did say, "The quarterback was a stud. They had a running back too but I can't remember his name. There was a defensive tackle, Jordon (Robertson), he was my host, and he looked good, and a few cornerbacks were pretty good too."
This is just me guessing, but if I had to put names with those players, I'd say QB= Skylar Thompson, RB= Mike McCoy, CB= AJ Parker and who knows who else (Walter Neil and Brock Monty are the only others that come to mind, although Monty is certainly not a corner). That's just me speculating but it was interesting info nevertheless.
Again, more coming on Jeffers later.
