Crowd shots of NFL games (Vikings at Seattle is the one I was watching just now) always amaze me with the sheer number of NFL Jerseys that must be sold these days . . .
So I found this story:

And when scrolling down just past the end of the fourth paragraph . . The author, referencing a mail order business he used to buy jerseys from, includes a clip from The Sporting News Sept 11 1971 . . It looks like a Big 8 football preview and K-State is mentioned.
