1. Defense played well enough to win a game. Also made good halftime adjustments.
2. Charles Jones ran well, and ran hard.
3. Sean Newlan had a rough game today.
4. This team has been desimated by injuries. But that is an excuse for our coaches not building roster depth.
5. Bill Snyder is a HOF coach.
6. It is time for him to retire.
I mean nothing disrespectful at all when I say this. He is a great representative of Kansas State. But, he is also in a performance based job, and is not performing. The letters to opposing players/our fans are a nice touch. They also draw nice national media attention. Could this time not be spent recruiting? The lack of speed in Snyders second tenure is solely on our coaches inability to recruit.
7. Snyder has grown this program into one with top notch facilities.
8. John Currie has been great as a fundraiser.
He has yet to prove that he can hire decent coaches. This is a critical time for the future of Kansas State football. With the wrong hire, we will set back to the bottom of the conference. My personal preference would be Tom Herman. Anyone who complains that we would be a stepping stone job does not realize the pecking order of college football. If we are a stepping stone job, that means that your coach has been successful. It also means the program should be in good shape for the next coach.
