The tax cut was held out as a stimulus package. This was laughable on the face of it. This was assuming that all of the tax cuts would be reinvested in the state of Kansas. We do not work in a closed economic society. People are free to save, invest in the stock market or buy a vacation home in Costa Rica.
The other reason for the tax cuts is destroy state government funding. The conseritives know they cannot pass the spending cuts but can impose them by stripping the state of its revenue. Thus they cannot be blamed for the spending cuts. Their goal to get elected was to dismantle the services of the state government. People keep voting for them even if it is against their interest which I cannot figure out.
