I'm certain I'm lumped into the 'negative' crowd. So for a change, here is a post dedicated to half-full type sh*t. Give us reasons for optimism. Let's leave this thread to only optimism. No need for negative/clarifying counterpoints.
General:
1 - Facilities upgrades that put us competitive with anyone in football or basketball.
2 - Brilliant fundraising and lots of money from the league.
3 - Manhattan is more desirable as a location than it was during the initial rebuild.
Football:
1 - Snyder can still out-coach anyone on any day.
2 - Very low likelihood that we'll deal with the level of injuries we did this season.
3 - Further on point 2, we should have several actual QBs with more talent and ability available next season.
4 - We have young guys that redshirted that could offer a nice shot in the arm - Reggie Walker, Elijah Sullivan, Delton, Alex Barnes, Scott Frantz, Goolsby. Without having seen them yet, those are some pieces to build around.
5 - Maybe it was just me, but my favorite part of the bowl was seeing Warmack. Having him reach his potential and having a real QB could really change things offensively.
6 - Every home game is winnable next season.
7 - Even though nothing is certain, it seems someone was targeting Venables as a replacement. Beyond that, we haven't heard that anything that happened would prevent that from still happening down the road.
Basketball:
1 - Very competitive in a 'rebuild' year.
2 - Young guys, primarily Stokes and Brown have been better than expected. If they grow and stay the course, having experienced talented guards in Bruce's system could be big.
3 - Xavier Sneed looks to be a good recruit that can hopefully contribute right away.
4 - Team is unified and much easier to watch and cheer for than last season
Pile on the positivity, you guys! This thread is solely for that purpose.
