-KU still favorite, likely will win league, probably have best team......but first time I've been around a league where worst team could go on the road and win a game against best team. One of those years. No outcome would be a shock. None.
-Not sure there's a FF team, but incredible balance.
-Is this sign league is really good? Or, has KU slipped? A little of both. Coaches are very good in this league. Five of 10 have been to FF. KU not quite as good and everyone else better.
-Last night.....can't believe Bill did what he did.....did that shock you? Based on what he said afterwards, he just guessed wrong. If Dok just shoots his average, they win. It's ok to criticize him, but he had a reason to do what he did.
-I've been saying last several weeks you need to foul Dok on purpose at end of game, but that doesn't do much for me with the minority of ku fans that think I'm out to get Kansas. I'm kind of surprised it took so long for someone to do it.
-This weekend's SEC challenge.....do you like these games in middle of season? I do. Gives break outside of conference grind. I don't necessarily think it's a big deal who wins, just nice to get outside of league.
-I'm so excited about this coming Monday. No more conference games until then. To go to Bramlage....great atmosphere, will be great ratings. I love some of those k-state kids. That's what I enjoy most about this league. I go from covering some out-manned frosh to them developing into an all-conference player (listed several examples over this years of covering league).
-KK brought up "the comments." Fran: I had big underdog team go to ND one year and we were ahead the entire game, started getting hosed. I told ref that the best team needed and deserved to win. That's what I said that night when Tech was at KU. That's just what I felt.
-I got calls from many major coaches after what I said that night (TT game), some of which are HOF coaches, and they congratulated me for saying what I said. You won't get a coach in the world to disagree with me, including the guy who coaches in that building.
