Nothing super groundbreaking here...it's mostly stuff DY has already reported or what we have speculated may be the case.

OL Andrew Leingang - People covering Minnesota recruiting don't know where he's leaning. They feel like the Gophers are in a "good spot" being closest to home, but they acknowledge the attractiveness of both Stanford and K-State/Klieman. There are conflicting reports about when to expect a decision...according to a family member Andrew wants to announce prior to his first game on 8/28, but another source has reportedly indicated that it could be pushed back.

LB Ma'a Gaoteote - As others have indicated, he is rumored to be looking around despite his longstanding commitment to USC and the fact that his older brother is on their roster. I didn't find anything connecting him to K-State yet, though, other than that we've been showing interest. He did have virtual visits with Colorado and Michigan State and indicated an openness to others.

LB/S Koby Bretz - Nebraska (and some other unnamed programs) are poised to offer Bretz if/when his academic situation is resolved to their satisfaction. An update on the academic front is expected soon, but there was no info provided on which way it's expected go. It seems virtually universally agreed upon that he will accept an offer from Nebraska if/when it comes. They view him as an outstanding athlete with a great frame, but a raw football player. They're recruiting him as a safety.

Other Nebraska tidbits:
- DL Mandela Tobin continues to be a 3-4 DE target but it's not clear where he ranks on their board. If they end up passing on him then I would expect him to choose KU based on his relationship with his primary recruiter, with whom he shares his Nigerian heritage.

- They are indeed getting closer to offering local TE prospect James Carnie. Huskers are reportedly prepared to take three TEs in the class. That strikes me as good news for other local programs planning to recruit TE hard in the 2022 class.
