This is why college basketball officiating MUST be cleaned up. It is either broken or FIXED. Why would the ref make that call at that point in the game? 20 seconds left and he calls a foul on a REBOUND? No way that call should be made. Two guys fighting for a rebound. Even the announcers said both guys went straight up. No matter....the refs should NOT take it upon themselves to decide a game on a call like that with 20 seconds left. There HAS to be cleanup. Make the call reviewable. Also, do not allow coaches to talk to officials AT ALL during a game.
I know that officiating has cost us AT LEAST 2 games this year (KU walk and last night). Something has to be done to save the game.
