1. Cooked missed some open receivers early in the second half. There is a reason he was 5th string. It was not play calling or OSU adjustments why we stalled early in the second half. If we put a scoring drive together in the second half it's a different game. Guys were open, we just missed them.
2. The only way we could slow Rudolph was with pressure. When we applied pressure he did miss. They simple abandoned the conventional running game. We should have been mixing pressure packages every down.
3. Rudolph was a gamer. When they needed a play he made it. Tuff throws often under duress. Several big throws if he holds the ball a half second longer he is sacked. He also made several throws where coverage was adequate but he just threw a strike. See the last touchdown of the first half. Hats off to the kid he just kept making big plays. Not sure if it was his day or he is just the real deal.
4. Everyone knows the quarterback is what makes things go, but damn we are a solid QB away from having a damn good team. You pour on a few more TD's in the third quarter; we kick their door down and blow the game wide open.
Joe is what he is, and even a health Cook is severely limited. Neither would start at another big twelve school. Anyone know where a good QB tree is standing. We could use a ripe one. Damn you injury bug.
