Road golf trip to Miss. St. - looking for recommendations

A few of us are considering a road trip to see the Cats play at MSU. We are thinking of taking our time and playing golf a couple of times on the way.
Not sure what route we will take. May be dictated by the golf opps. Maybe via Memphis?

Any suggestions on courses would be appreciated.
