in 9th inning today scoring 4 runs to win 6-4. Interesting performers were Christian colon who played second base like a man wearing boxing gloves chasing hand grenades, Hoz, who hit a home run and several pitchers. Almonte throws hard although somewhat wild in the strike zone. Trout hit a long home run off of him. Binferd showed some nice breaking pitches, Joe Patterson displayed some funky lefty stuff and Yohan Pena closed out the 9th inning, striking out 2 and getting the final out on a routine fly to left. However, the interesting part of the game started before anything occured. A swarm of bees perched on the backstop and threatened to be a real menace. They were contained and then eradicated in the 3rd inning by a guy in a beekeeper suit and spray gun. I was sorry to see that because my orange tree didn`t get pollinated last year and I only had 1 orange. I am guessing there were about 100,000 bees.
